Carolina Opry Christmas Show

Carolina Opry Christmas Show

Hosts: Don and Mary Sue Wahl
On December 8 a group of 10 couples set out for the Carolina Opry in Myrtle Beach for The Christmas Show.
After a browse through the gift shop, we gathered for a group photo in the well decorated lobby then hustled off to find our seats.
The show was an entertaining mix of dancing, Christmas carols, songs, a tap dancing troupe (regulars at the Opry), and an outstanding comedian who had the entire audience captivated and laughing. There was a lot of talent on that stage.
After the show we headed north to Calabash for a stop at the legendary Callahan’s to look through their extensive Christmas shop. Purchases in hand, our hungry bunch proceeded to Parson’s Table for dinner. The building itself is a slice of South Carolina history. It is a church built in 1885. It served as church until 1952. It was moved to its present location in 1978 (across the street and down two blocks) when it became a restaurant. We enjoyed and evening of fellowship and fine food in a room to ourselves.
After dinner the day was done and we all headed home.
