Well, Hurricane Irma caused the Silver Coast Winery to postpone the Purple Feet Festival to Sunday, November 5, 2017 from noon until 5 p.m.
So, the Cape Fear Miata Club is going to try this again.
We will rendezvous at Hardees, 101 Village Road NE, Leland.
Departure time from rendezvous: 11 a.m.
Expected time of arrival at event: 12 noon
Grape stomping all day, live entertainment by the Imitations, arts & crafts and food vendors. Dye your head red and enter the”Lucy Look-Alike” contest at 3:30 p.m.
No admission charge if dressed like Lucy!
$5 admission if you bring a child’s new game or piece of sports equipment***
$8 admission charge otherwise.
Payable at the gate.
*** The Winery has partnered with the Sea Coast Youth Academy to provide games and sports equipment to children in foster care.
Wine tastings every 30 minutes for an additional $8. You’ll sample 5-6 different wines.
No outside coolers, food or drink. You’ll be able to purchase wine, beer, water, and soda.
Bring lawn chairs, sunscreen, and bug spray.
